My original piece was a blazer and a crochet jumper which I upcycled into a fashionable piece of outerwear. Underneath is a ruched mini dress I made to complement the look of the blazer.
'Zero waste' concept is implied in the piece, with no fabric wasted from the blazer and very minimum waste from the jumper. The blazer has a button hidden beneath the collar which was attached to the knit piece that acts as an opening. It could be styled in different ways through the positioning, with or without thumb holes.
The knit was unraveled to create a distressed look. The unique design element was in the back where the cuff part of the jumper creates a fun circular shape and also the left sleeve where the knit is hidden underneath. I rely on draping and deconstruction in the process of making the blazer.
